Our Occupational Therapy services include evaluation of fine motor
development, cognitive development, self-care skills, sensory integrative
skills, visual perceptual skills and function. With respect to age appropriate equipment
and activities, treatment involves:
- Sensory Integration Therapy to address motor planning dysfunction, tactile defensiveness, decreased balance, decreased attention, decreased trunk strength, increased or decreased activity level.
- Functional skill training in the areas of self-care and cognitive development.
- Strengthening for upper body and hands with manual dexterity tasks and postural activities.
- Developmental tasks with concept formation.
